Jewellery Making Hints & Tips
This page will be added to over time. Please let me know if you have any useful Jewellery Making tips we can pass on.
Making Loops
Making loops
Using round-nose pliers bend the wire to a 90-degree angle.
Trim to 1/2 inch.
Step 2
Grip the tip of the wire with the end of the round-nose pliers, leaving very little wire peaking through the barrels of the pliers.
Bend the end back to begin to create the loop.
Step 3
Rotate your wrist away from your body, while using the tip of your thumb on the other hand to push on the wire below the pliers, forming a loop. The placement of your thumb will help keep the angle sharp and the loop circular using the roundness of the pliers.
Step 4
Make any other adjustments to ensure the loop is centered.
